A brittle twine strung between low expectations and an arrival at a place better than the one set out for.
All at Sea is a collaboration between composer Richy Carey, illustrator Libby Walker and author Martin Cathcart Froden. The project explores the highs and lows of an artist creating a new body of work, aiming to be both a question and catharsis, and end and beginning.
Deeply rooted in their shared connection with Glasgow, the works weave between stories of the city, the people who live there and the authors hopes and fears for capturing them. The result is a collection of intertwining illustrations, music and short stories which reveal layers of narrative illuminated by the artists’ experiences.
150 handmade editions were made.
